I just bought a bichon frise just a few days ago, how many times do you give it a bath in 1 month? I did some research and know that if you bathe the dog too much, there will be rashes all over its body. THXS very much for replying:D
I don’t know where you might have found something telling you dogs get rashes all over their bodies from over-bathing, but that’s not true. What you do is dry out their skin and coat. A dog should only be bathed as often as absolutely necessary, once every 6 weeks at most. And when you do, use dog shampoo, make sure you rinse very thoroughly and be careful not to get any water in the ears.

when ever the dog needs it but at most… once a month, exception if the dog gets really dirty. Some dogs only need a bath twice year, other alot more. depends on the dog and the environment.

I have a bichon frise and I was adviced to give him a bath twice a month or when he gets very dirty, and if he does use a little portion of baby shampoo for the delicate coat. Once your pup passes his 6th month phase bathe him with special white-coat dog shampoo once or twice a month or the coat will be damaged
so baby shampoo worked for mine

after he is groomed which is around every 6 to 8 weeks or unless he gets dirty.batheing them too much can dry out their skin and cause itching and flakes. u can just wipe him down around the belly and paws if he gets muddy and keep him clipped and brushed then only bathe him every 3 mths or so. good luck

Dogs don’t require daily scrub downs like we do, they do need regular baths but just how regular depends on several factors, such as the dog’s environment and type of coat. Here’s more info:

About once a month, its the brushing that is more important you need to brush them every day or every other day, which will reduce dirt. If it gets muddy wait til it drys then you can just brush it out.
