I am looking for a baby about 6 weeks bichon frise. I live in jericho, ny.. answers quick please
six weeks is too young. but you can find breeders in your area by looking up the bichon club of america. wait until eight weeks if you can. those two short weeks helps the puppy develop socially.

6 weeks is way to young. 8 weeks is the minimum, but 10 weeks is better. A puppy needs to learn skills from mom and litter mates, like bite inhibition, and dogs who stay longer with mom often are more easily housebroken if they go out with her. DO NOT BUY A PET STORE DOG PLEASE!!! Google the Bichon Frise Club of America to start looking for responsible breeders in your area, or find a Bichon Frise rescue in your state as a start.

You’ll be saving a life and money too.

No responsible breeder would let a puppy go before nine to ten weeks. You, as the buyer, should spend some time checking breeders out. If not you may be buying (and supporting) a puppy mill dog. A good breeder will want to know a lot about you before they sell you a puppy. This is a lifetime relationship so do your homework. Besides BFCA, you can find breeders on the AKC website.
