light shedding dog breeds?? what are some breeds besides yorkies,shih-tzus,maltese etc… ?
what are some LARGER light shedding dog breeds besides those toy dog like yorkie,shih-tzu,bichon frise, maltese, schnazuers, poodels etcc…
we( me and my parents) are thinking about probably adopting or rescuing a dog somewhere in february or march
my dad was a dog breeeder he specialized in bernards, newfoundlands and giant schnazuers
so giantschnazuer is one choice but what other dogs have"hair coat" or a single coat
i know that also some terriers like the airedale, weathen ,
we have 2 dogs 14 month old Irish setter "Ruby" and a 4 year old clumber spaniel "Jumbo"
we dont keep the coats long we trim them every 3 months
but there is still a lot of fur in the house
me and my dad were actually thinking about getting an akita ( oh by the wya whats the difference between an american akita and a japanese akita??? ) or a shiba inu but they have double coat and they are a heavy shedding dogs so my mom doesnt like that
is not then we will probably get a giant schnazuer since my father has a lot of experience with those dogs
we have fostered 2 retire race track greyhound they are great dogs but they are lazy
Hold on.. There are two types of akita ! ? That's why some look different.

They're not very different. Ok, quite different.
Basenji. They look similar to an akita. But are quite small
Spanish Water Dog. They have dreadlocks which is why they're low shedding. [Probably]
Xoloitzcuintli. You can get them in 3 sizes. Hairless or coated.
Portuguese Water Dog. Medium sized dog.
Just a few. Standard poodles are good too. They get quite large. [About the size of a giant schnauzer] and have wool.

The difference is really just in size. The proportion of their heads.

Ok found something. It seems the only main differences lye with "standards" with breeding or showing.
The Japanese dogs are not as large or massive and heavy boned as ours. They are more square in proportion and have a much more pronounced tuck-up. The head proportions are more 50/50 whereas our standard call for a 40/60 (as two is to three) ratio between muzzle and top skull. Our standard allows all colors whereas the Japanese dogs are only allowed to be red, white or brindle with no pintos or black masks. Red and brindle dogs are required to have white shading on face, chest, inside of legs and under tail. In general the Japanese dogs have a striking resemblance to Shibas, but in a much larger size.
