Is There Anywhere on Long Island or in the New York Area Where I Would Be Able to Rescue a Small Puppy?

im looking for a puppy with a low price and local to avoid shipping costs and stress. I am very interested in Bichon Frise puppies, peke a poo puppies and anything small and cuddly.

There are tons of rescue groups and shelters in Long Island. Shelters and rescues. I can't speak for low price. Rescue and shelters pet fees depend on that particular group. Also some fees are higher for purebred dogs and puppies.

Visit the Petfinder.com website, put in your zip code and a list of groups will come up.

Anything at a low price that fits the description you gave will have traveled a long, stressful way.

Find the breed rescue that you fancy – Bichon Rescue or the Bichon Club, and see what they have available. Little cuddly cute dgs are sold at a premium – they're never cheap.

Little Shelter in E.Northport is a good place to go. Also North Shore Animal League in Port Washington has lots of dogs for adoption.

"Pekepoos" do not exist, they are really just Pekingese Poodle mixes, do not call them by silly made up names.

Adopt a dog from your local animal shelter. Peke A Poo is NOT a breed of dog, it's a dog bred by a low class, unreputable backyard breeder.
