I Think My Dog May Be in Trouble.?

i have a bichon frise female, she is 9 years old, has breast tumors, and is lactating, i am almost sure she isnt pregnant could this be a false pregnancy? and if she really is pregnant should i terminatew the puppies because of her condition. she is a rescued dog i received her at three she was in a terrible accident where her previous owner tried to shoot her because she wouldnt eat.[he is imprisoned.]
i will be taking her to the vet tomorrow i just was wondering on opinions.

first, thanks for adopting this poor girl. Next, if she dose not look prego, then i’d say it has something to do with her med condition. females don’t lactate until right before the pups are born. i wish you both the best.

OMG! poor dog! well you should have her checked by a vet and see what the vet thinks and says about having puppies. Would you keep them or sell them? Because there are plenty of dog already in the world and we don’t need more unless theyr gonna be sold

i would take her to the vet. seriously, if it were you you would want the medical attention.

the bill wont be that bad. just tell the vet you dont have much money and to please just do NECESSARY work. and to always give you and estimate price of EVERYTHING they want to do.

    take her in asap

I would definitely ask the vet. what if the puppies and the mother can be saved? dogs can have c-sections just like humans. The only way to really find out if she is in fact pregnant it to go get it checked out.

The lactation could be from the tumors. I would get her checked out by a vet for her sake. The vet may be able to give her some meds to help with her condition and side effects.
Best of luck to your dog. It’s so great that you rescued her and gave her a better home. Hope I helped.

Wow, poor dog. Im glad her old owner is put away. You can't really get a full diagnoses on the internet, you will have to let a vet check her out. Is that the only symptom and when did the lactating start happeneing? If it is a pregnancy try and keep the puppies but if the vet doesn't recommend it then I wouldn't go through with it. But the lactating is probably just because of her condition. Good Luck and give your dog a hug for me :) ?
