I found a bichon on petfinder.com and I’m interested in adopting him. I can give it everything it needs like the right amount of exercise food, grooming, etc. I also live in an apartment. I plan on feeding him Wellness food because I’ve heard it’s a good one! Oh and I called the shelter and they said they would put him on hold since I’m getting him next week. My parents also have the money for vet bills and other items for him. Thanks to all who answer(:
I am very happy that you have a wonderful home and are wanting to adopt a dog that needs a home. I am also extremely proud that you are thinking about your decision and making the choice of dog you want. People do not understand that it is one of the most important choices you need to make when choosing a dog to adopt, make sure it is what you really really want. If it isn’t the perfect one then someone else will give it a home to love. A bichon frise is a wonderful dog. It is hypoallergenic, does not shed or have pet dander, small in size makes feeding easy and bathing easy. They do not have the doggy smell. The only thing you have to remember is they can sometimes be a bit harder to train, maybe a bit to vocal and like to bark a lot, maybe a little to stuck to you and afraid to be on its own but these are all things can be avoided with the proper training. As long as you spend lots of time with the puppy and firmly train him then you will have a wonderful dog. Please always feed him dry dog food, on small dogs feeding them only wet food really rottens their teeth at an early age. Wish you luck on your decision remember there are so many dogs that need homes if he is not the right one keep looking
