Will the brown patches on my bichon frise ever go away?

I thought you mean't on her skin which is normal and would go away

as for the fur,if it was going to change,it would of by now,has your dog been groomed, have you looked at the roots of the hair and see it coming in lighter?if its coming in the same colour, chances are,its gonna stay that colour…

Can a six year old Labrador retriever get along with a Bichon Frise Puppy?

I have a six year old retriever and am now getting a female Bichon Frise puppy? will this work out?an they be companions? As soon as I can I will get the female Bichon spayed.

Nobody can say for certain that the two will become ‘friends’.
But they can learn to live harmoniously together. Labs are generally very even tempered, where as Bichon’s are a bit more high-strung. A Bichon puppy would be even more so. As long as you take the time to introduce them slowly, I’m sure it will work out just fine.
But for the sake of your lab, let him/her have some time away from the puppy every once in a while!
